SoCal Water$mart (Metropolitan Water District of Southern California)
The first-ever and largest regional approach to water rebates in Southern California, SoCal Water$mart combines the efforts of 26 cities and water districts – serving 19 million people – through the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, and provides residential rebates for water efficient products. A subcontractor to the Electric and Gas Industries Association (EGIA), RSG serves as the marketing and external implementation arm of the program. RSG develops all program marketing and educational materials (point-of-sale, promotional, website, fact sheets, advertising, etc.); establishes market channel partnerships and training to build product availability and visibility (with over 700 retailer/supplier locations); manages materials fulfillment, database of suppliers, qualified product lists, rebates (by agency detail) for suppliers and customers; and coordinates event planning and staffing. |
 Results:
In the 2010-2011 fiscal year, the program issued over $10 million in rebates to over 58,000 customers in Southern California
