School Energy Efficiency (SEE) Program
| The SEE Program provides technical audits, project analysis, financial incentives, and comprehensive project implementation support to help public K-12 schools install cost-effective energy efficiency measures. The Program was established in 2004 as a PG&E third-party information-only program and was successfully transitioned into a resource savings program that continues into California’s 2010-2012 efficiency funding cycle. |
Results:
- Since 2006, the SEE Program has:
- consistently exceeded energy savings goals
- enrolled 100 participant districts
- completed 175 comprehensive energy audits
- committed 96 projects based on audit findings
- Designed a successful series of teacher workshops that provided professional development training and energy efficiency-related educational materials to integrate into teaching styles, lesson plans and classroom activities in the 2004-2006 Program.
