Dairy Industry Resource Advantage (DIRA) Program
| The Dairy Industry Resource Advantage Program is available to qualifying large dairies that receive gas and/or electric service from PG&E. The focus of the DIRA Program is to achieve lower energy usage and increased sustainability and cost-competitiveness in the dairy industry. The program offers unbiased technical service, education and support though a tailored energy management approach to facility staff to identify, evaluate and promote the installation of energy efficiency measures to reduce the operating expenses and improve the efficiency of facility operations.
The DIRA Program began in January of 2010 as a third-party program as part of PG&E’s 2010-2012 energy efficiency portfolio. |
 Results:
- Since 2006, the DIRA Program has:
- Enrolled 64 participant dairies
- completed 22 comprehensive energy audits
- committed 30 projects to implementation
